Cindy Karsdorp

Cindy Karsdorp (admitted to the Bar in 2022) provides assistance in criminal matters of both general and economic nature. She joined Sjöcrona Van Stigt in March 2022 and works from our Rotterdam office.

Education and career
In 2015 Cindy obtained her bachelor’s degree in Dutch law at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. During her bachelor she also followed the English extra-curricular Erasmus Honors Program (Grand Challenges). After that she obtained a master’s degree in Dutch Criminal Law and Toga aan de Maas. During her studies Cindy worked as a clerk at the Court of Appeal in
‘s-Hertogenbosch and gained experience at a law firm in Rotterdam.

After her studies, Cindy joined the Court of Appeal in ‘s-Hertogenbosch and worked for several years as a senior court clerk. In this capacity, she was involved in many types of (major) criminal cases on appeal. She gained relevant experience in criminal cases involving suspicions of, for example, money laundering, fraud, the Road Traffic Act, the Opium Act and the Weapons and Ammunition Act. Analyzing files factually and legally was already then daily practice for Cindy.
