About Nils Gonzalez Bos

Nils frequently assists individuals and companies under investigation by (special) investigation services such as the FIOD, NVWA or ILT. These involve investigations following suspicions of fraud or corruption or non-compliance with sanctioning and/or environmental regulations. In these areas of criminal law, Nils also advises on criminal risks and compliance.

Furthermore, As a member of a special team of lawyers that assist the Dutch National Police, Nils regularly assists investigating officers who come into contact with criminal law.

Nils also works as a cassation lawyer in all areas of criminal law.

Education and career

Nils graduated cum laude in criminal law and criminal procedure from Tilburg University. Besides his studies, he worked as a police detective, where he conducted many criminal investigations. After graduating, Nils worked at the Supreme Court’s Scientific Bureau for one year. In 2016, Nils started his legal career at the Hague office of our firm. Afterwards, he worked at Houthoff, among others. He returned to our firm in 2023, where he is a partner from 1 September 2023.

In 2022, Nils was also appointed as a deputy judge at the District Court of Oost Brabant.

Nils Gonzalez Bos is registered in the Register of Jurisdictions of the Netherlands Bar as a specialist in Criminal Law. This specialism includes:

  • Financial-economic criminal law
  • Environmental criminal law
  • Working conditions criminal law
  • Common criminal law (including corruption and money laundering cases)
  • Tax criminal law

Nils obtains a minimum of ten training points in this specialisation every calendar year according to the standards of the Netherlands Bar.
