For some time now, our firm has been an associate partner of the Toga aan de Maas dual Master’s programme at Erasmus University Rotterdam. On Thursday 11 June, Jessie Donze and Stefan Jansen once again delivered a masterclass on witness examinations to the Master’s students. The students were first introduced to the theoretical framework surrounding the examination of witnesses before the examining magistrate, after which they immediately put that knowledge into practice. Using a realistic case study, they took part in a role-play in which, acting as lawyers, they simulated a witness examination before the examining magistrate. This interactive and practical approach offered a valuable insight into the day-to-day work of a criminal defence lawyer. We look back on a successful and informative morning!
