About Jessie Donze
Jessie focuses on defending both individuals and companies in complex criminal proceedings, with particular expertise in the field of financial and economic crimes. Her practice covers a broad spectrum, including fraud, environmental, traffic, and common criminal cases. She also has extensive experience in providing legal assistance to investigating officers in the context of National Criminal Investigation Department investigations. She joined Sjöcrona Van Stigt in December 2021 and works from the Rotterdam office.
Education and career
Jessie graduated (with honors) from the University of Amsterdam in 2021, specializing in Criminal Law. She previously obtained a master’s degree in International and Transnational Criminal Law, an in-depth English-language program in international criminal law. During her studies, Jessie gained internship experience in the legal profession and at the Public Prosecution Service. Jessie is a member of the Dutch Association of Young Criminal Lawyers. She is also a member of the Port Association and Deltalinqs, the interest groups for logistics and industrial companies in the port of Rotterdam. She regularly organizes seminars for companies on criminal investigation and enforcement procedures. In addition, Jessie is a regular contributor to the Journal of Sanctions Law & Business, for which she writes the current affairs section on environmental criminal law and periodically publishes annotations.
