About Léon de Jager
As a lawyer and tax expert, Léon de Jager deals with often complex problems for individuals and companies at the intersection of tax, financial and criminal law. An experienced negotiator, Léon strives for concrete and realistic dispute settlements by engaging with all parties involved and seeking a joint solution.
Besides his work as a lawyer, Léon gives courses and presentations on tax and criminal law topics and lectures at Knowledge Platform on Insolvency Fraud. He is also a board member of the Dutch Association of Attorneys at Law and Tax Lawyers (NVAB).
Education and career
Léon de Jager started in 2000 as a tax advisor at what is now Deloitte and switched to tax law in 2004. Since 2013, he has been a partner at several law firms specialising in tax litigation and financial-economic criminal law. Léon has been a partner and member of the partnership since 2025 and practices from our Rotterdam office.
In the register of areas of law of the Netherlands Bar, Léon is registered as a specialist in Criminal Law and Tax Law. These specialisms include:
