Floris Dudok van Heel

Floris Dudok van Heel (admitted to the Bar in 2017) handles general and economic criminal cases. He also regularly handles traffic criminal cases. He joined Sjöcrona Van Stigt on September 1st, 2017 and works from our Rotterdam offices. Floris has a lot of court experience, but also a lot of experience in providing assistance during criminal interrogations and in providing criminal advice. 

Education and Career

Floris graduated from the University of Amsterdam in 2013, specializing in Criminal Law. In that same year, he obtained a master’s degree in Transnational Legal Studies at the Free University Amsterdam, an English-language, in-depth training in international law. Following his graduation, Floris worked at the criminal law sections of the Court of North Holland and the Court of Appeal of Amsterdam. In Amsterdam Floris last worked as a senior registrar involved in handling criminal appeal cases of divergent nature. He gained for instance extensive experience in complex criminal cases in the field of money laundering and fraud.

Since 2018 Floris is a permanent contributor to the Tijdschrift voor Sanctierecht & Onderneming (Sanctions Law & Company Magazine), for which he is responsible, among other things, for the current affairs section Economic criminal law: Working conditions. Floris previously worked as an editor of the Nieuwsbrief Rechtspraak Europa (Newsletter Jurisprudence Europe).
